I recently got into a debate with a Democrat on politics and figure that I would share the conversation in a more readable fashion here. I tried to reason with the unreasonable and here is how it went:

You claim Republicans are corrupt but no evidence actually supports that. But suppose they were for a moment. If Washington was filled with corruption, then why would you support politicians(Democrats) that want to create more laws that take away the wealth of Americans through taxes and gives it to corrupt politicians?

I think abortion is murder. So, that precludes me ever for voting for a Democrat.

I believe that starving, drugging and caging babies and children. Then denying medical care to the sick and injured is murder. Therefore I will never vote for a corrupt lying raping republican.

It isn’t to provide products to people. Healthcare is a product. We should allow the free market to provide the products to our people. That ensures that we receive the best product for the cheapest price. The fact of the matter is that markets work on scarcity and demand. So, you would rather a system where everyone has terrible health care than a system where you have great healthcare for the greatest number. That’s fine, I’m sure China had great medical care after murdering 40 million of its own people. We actually have an example of government-funded healthcare in this country. It is called the VA. If Democrats were right, then it should be an amazing place filled with no corruption because the government is benevolent.

Yes, because the Trump administration is near poverty. Trump might need food stamps if he didn’t sell American secrets. Trump really doesn’t have billions of dollars. You’re just lying as if that substitutes for arguments. But the idea that government isn’t a business is unique for a person supporting the Democratic party which effectively wants to make the government the only business. A government that operates with heavy regulations are the only government which can provide kickbacks that corporations want. The most ironic twist is the kind of government you want. Do you want to rid corruption in government? Become a libertarian and lessen the role of government in the private sector.

Well, you make an incredible habit of speaking about things you couldn’t possibly know. The actual fact of the matter is that most Republicans that are pro-life are pro-life because they think humans have intrinsic worth and dignity. So, you either don’t know anything about the pro-life movement or you are lying deliberately about them. You also haven’t made an argument that babies in the womb are not human and you haven’t argued whether humans have intrinsic worth and dignity. I have no reason to suppose that you aren’t saying baby murder is fine.

That’s a lie. We argue for what we think would provide the best healthcare for the cheapest price. Most infants would be taken care of than any other system and we encourage organizations that are private charities for such. Of course, you have successful charities if we have bad economic policies giving people less wealth and less incentive to donate. Democrats have the best walk away position. They just murder them first and sell the parts. Further liberals like to be more consistent and argue for infanticide.
