Numbers and the Bible

Here are Jimmy’s thoughts on mathematical truths: The simplest issue is that analyticity is not an absolute or flawless indicator of justification. There are equations so long they fill entire books, but these equations are just as analytically true as “2 + 2 = 4.” Simpler equations may be intuitive because of their analyticity combined with simplicity. However, the problem is that analyticity, were it a sufficient source of infallible justification, would justify book-long or even infinitely long equations. Book-long equations can be easily mistaken and infinitely long equations cannot even be computed by the mind. Also, there’s a huge … Continue reading Numbers and the Bible

Hypocrisy 101

Dr. Leighton Flowers has been an outspoken critic of all things Calvinism. He has made a bit of a following doing so. The problem with many of his arguments is their ability to refute his own position. That won’t be the point of what I’ll be talking about, but I would like to point out his hypocritical coverage of Calvinism and to that of Molinism. He never attacks the Molinism of his traditionalist allies. I can understand that that isn’t his audience nor is it his mission to give an analysis of different Soteriological systems. He is really Anti-Calvinism101 and … Continue reading Hypocrisy 101

A little Presup before Dinner

This is an article that is an introduction to what I believe the method of Reformed Apologetics that we should use and that should be understood as the best approach. 1. Transcendental Argument: This is just an introduction to the presuppositionalist argument known as TAG. TAG stands for the transcendental argument for God’s existence. What is a transcendental argument(TA)? They are arguments that deal with preconditions of knowledge and I think it could be expanded to one that deals with the preconditions for ethics. These are truths that are necessary for other truths to make sense. It means that a certain belief is … Continue reading A little Presup before Dinner
