Godhood and Dominion

I asked some questions to two Unitarian apologists that believe themselves to be a Trinitarian. TheSire: How close is their similarity? Do they possess all the same(generic) Divine properties? What distinguishes you from a tritheist? ContraModalism: “God begot God, that the Lord begot the Lord, that the King begot the King, that the Creator begot the Creator, that the Good begot the Good, that the Wise begot the Wise, that the Merciful begot the Merciful, and that the Powerful begot the Powerful.” (Maximinus) The Son is like the Father in that He is the Image of the Father, the exact … Continue reading Godhood and Dominion

Child Labor Laws

Sometimes things that may have been useful in the past become used for the benefits of others. Laws often are used to manipulating markets in order to keep competition from getting rid of a good gig people have. Calvinism and the Problem of Evil

Posting on behalf of Josh Smith, a.k.a Calvinist Klein Since I finished the latest book on my current topic of personal study, I decided to take a break by reading this, which has been on the shelf for 2 years or more. Daniel Johnson made a very interesting observation when looking at the different options of free will/compatibilism available to the Calvinist: “First, Calvinist compatibilism about free will: Calvinists can accept many of the compatibilist theories of free will on offer in the literature today. Jonathan Edwards’ Freedom of the Will, according to which an action is free just in case … Continue reading Calvinism and the Problem of Evil
