Vote Democratic

I recently got into a debate with a Democrat on politics and figure that I would share the conversation in a more readable fashion here. I tried to reason with the unreasonable and here is how it went: Richard Curren: Vote Democratic. Republicans are too corrupt, dishonest, racist, bigoted and stupid to manage a society. TheSire: You claim Republicans are corrupt but no evidence actually supports that. But suppose they were for a moment. If Washington was filled with corruption, then why would you support politicians(Democrats) that want to create more laws that take away the wealth of Americans through … Continue reading Vote Democratic

Godhood and Dominion

I asked some questions to two Unitarian apologists that believe themselves to be a Trinitarian. TheSire: How close is their similarity? Do they possess all the same(generic) Divine properties? What distinguishes you from a tritheist? ContraModalism: “God begot God, that the Lord begot the Lord, that the King begot the King, that the Creator begot the Creator, that the Good begot the Good, that the Wise begot the Wise, that the Merciful begot the Merciful, and that the Powerful begot the Powerful.” (Maximinus) The Son is like the Father in that He is the Image of the Father, the exact … Continue reading Godhood and Dominion

Such laws reflected public concerns because of the special vulnerability of children, due to their inexperience, weaker bodies, and general helplessness against the power of adults. At one time, children were used for hard and dangerous work in … Continue reading Child Labor Laws

Politicon Debate: Carlson vs. Uygur

At the recent Politicon conference cult meeting thing, Cenk Uygur and Tucker Carlson had a debate. I will take selective statements that I think represents issues with each position presented. They start with the issue of immigration and Tucker is asked first about the issue. Carlson distinguishes the issue of moral and political obligations. While a nation may be not obligated to immigrants it is obligated to enforce the laws of the land and to the citizens of their respective country. Cenk uses the example of Nazis and Jewish migrants when the United States turned Jewish ships away and thus Jews were … Continue reading Politicon Debate: Carlson vs. Uygur
