The Battle of the Brute Facts

It has been a constant objection in presuppositionalist conversations and it should be. When engaging in epistemology these questions pop up. The topic of brute facts has even been brought up to Dr. Greg Bahnsen: Question from the Bahnsen-Stein debate: Why is it necessary for the abstract universal laws to be decided from the transcendental nature of God, or derived from the transcendental of God.  Why not assume the transcendental nature of logic? Dr. Bahnsen’s response: Somebody who wrote the question is good in that you’ve studied some of these philosophical issues.  The answer may not be meaningful to everybody in the audience, … Continue reading The Battle of the Brute Facts

Infinite Punishment for Finite Sins?

Many atheists and annihilationist believe that nobody deserves Hell. That infinite punishment is never merited by any amount of finite sin. God must punish people in proportion to the crime. That seems intuitive but intuitions are person and culture relative. I think it is intuitive that God punishes plenty of people eternally for their crimes on earth. Man’s deeds deserve the repercussions that God places on them. Many(actually all) cases in Human history testify to the deservedness of eternal damnation. How confident are you in the intuition that finite sins cannot merit eternal damnation? Would a history lesson make you … Continue reading Infinite Punishment for Finite Sins?

Razor Thin Arguments

I had an exchange with a stubborn atheist of the name Ben Krueger about the issue of whether a rational atheistic worldview exists. He sliced his worldview on a Razor. Ben Krueger: also, my worldview can account for these things because those are the things that, as far as we know, simply are. That the world functions in a logical manner is my base assumption. TheSire: So, all knowledge is based on arbitrary assumptions? You are a fideist. Why should I accept your axioms over the axiom of X? The axiom states that the world is rational and that you … Continue reading Razor Thin Arguments

Did Jesus prophesy falsely?

It is often thought by unbelievers that Jesus prophesied falsely that he would return in 70 A.D. That is because too many it appears that he does so in the Olivet Discourse. Tyler Vela: Did Jesus Predict the Rapture within 40 Years of his Death? Part 1 Did Jesus Predict the Rapture within 40 Years of his Death? Part 2 Did Jesus Predict the Rapture within 40 Years of his Death? When a Cactus misses the Point

Necessitarian had a dialogue with an atheist named Cactus: Cactus: I understand that the problem of induction is philosophically pressing. To base your worldview on whatever answers this one complicated question best seems fair to me. But it does not follow that it’s True. I believe you will always win the argument of coherence in this chat, but – I’ve said it once and I will say it till it is properly addressed: A claim to knowledge != knowledge. ” ” ” Ultimate truth != ultimate truth And unfortunately, the Christian Worldview, as presented, is only actually coherent IF its … Continue reading When a Cactus misses the Point

When Atheist Prophesy

I recently got into an argument with an internet atheist and he had a few objections. Atheist said: Okay, so if we start reading from Matthew. Matthew 1:23 says “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bare a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means God with us)” problem with this right off the bat, this is the only time in the whole bible that God is called Immanuel. Which means he was not called that. Isaiah 7:14 says “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bare a son and … Continue reading When Atheist Prophesy

Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn

I watched a video where two birds of a feather met together to discuss nothing important. Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn are two apostates that came to discuss transgenderism, religion, and politics. My advice is that you avoid being as shallow as they are. They ranted about how they think they are being unfairly attacked by transgendered people. What basis do they say that it is wrong to be treated unfairly? Jaclyn Glenn is an atheist youtuber with no insights worthy of discussing. She rejected God because her friend was gay and her Catholic school wasn’t in favor of his … Continue reading Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn

Mythicism Parallelomania

The least educated of the mythicist try to claim that Jesus is just a myth based on previous cultures and different people. This thought has been popularized by hack documentaries like the Zeitgeist. I’ll provide a list of people debunking these silly charges: InspiringPhilosophy: Jesus vs. Horus Jesus vs. Mithra Jesus vs. Krishna Jesus vs. Dionysus Jesus vs. Serapis Jesus vs. Attis Jesus vs Osiris Jesus vs. Zoroaster Jesus vs. Buddha Dr. Mark Foreman: Refuting Zeitgeist the Movie Michael Boehm: Zeitgeist The Movie Refuted Point-by-Point James Patrick Holding (Tekton): Temporal Apologetics Mission 3: The Jesus-Horus Disconnection The Aron Ra “Jesus … Continue reading Mythicism Parallelomania
