Idolatry of Politics

We live in an interesting time. The world is still trying to find it answers. The current cultural and political climate has drifted into the religious. The tribalism that requires compromise of principles for loyalties has affected everyone. I recently criticized a former “Christian” that has high influence in the conservative movement. Liberal Inconsistencies

In this debate, you will notice that Cenk Uygur wishes to fix the corrupt government. That both parties are horribly influenced by outside principles and reduced to sophistry. That money in politics has made politicians useless and continued with his script. On the other hand, he thinks this isn’t true for his liberal politicians’ friends. They are utterly corrupt as well via their relationship with unions and their corporations. They are not as bad. Revolutionary Requirements

At Triablogue I asked whether it was moral for the Revolutionary War to occur. The question behind that is when is an uprising against a municipality morally acceptable? I think Romans 13 was written to a Church that had no ability to defend itself and that is a much different set of circumstances today. I can see that 1 of the requirements would be the right motive.
