TrueModalism

I was asked to comment on an old youtube personality of TrueEmpircism’s open affirmation of Modalism. He seems out of the Theological loop and I suppose he invests too much money into books on biology and needs to spend more on theology. I won’t try an article rebutting Modalism, but I will quote Theologians on the issue: At various times people have taught that God is not really three distinct persons, but only one person who appears to people in different “modes” at different times. For example, in the Old Testament God appeared as “Father.” Throughout the Gospels, this same … Continue reading TrueModalism

Conversational Presuppositionalism

In recent weeks a few of my friends over on the Christian Philosophy discord server have been asking me how I approach apologetics. They are mostly aware that I take a presuppositional stance, and several have even noticed my “Schaefferian” name-tag. I should clarify that I am not a pure Schaefferian, but I find my apologetic more similar to his than the two primary presuppositional streams, Clarkianism and Van Tillianism. In this article, I’d like to give an overview of how I approach the practice of evangelistic conversations with unbelievers. ~=~=~ First, let me lay out common ground. All (most?) presuppositionalists would … Continue reading Conversational Presuppositionalism

When Atheist Prophesy

I recently got into an argument with an internet atheist and he had a few objections. Atheist said: Okay, so if we start reading from Matthew. Matthew 1:23 says “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bare a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means God with us)” problem with this right off the bat, this is the only time in the whole bible that God is called Immanuel. Which means he was not called that. Isaiah 7:14 says “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bare a son and … Continue reading When Atheist Prophesy

Presup before Dessert

I discussed in a previous article some of the basic principles of presuppositionalism. I think I might be able to expand on some of those principles. 1. Transcendental Argument: In the last article, I briefly discussed the form of the transcendental argument and the disagreement that exist on how to formulate the Transcendental argument for God’s existence. The issue is that the transcendental argument for God’s existence isn’t merely one formulation, but rather a family of similarly formed arguments. I think it is perfectly acceptable to argue either form of the Transcendental argument. There was one objection that arose that neither of these arguments demonstrates that God … Continue reading Presup before Dessert

Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn

I watched a video where two birds of a feather met together to discuss nothing important. Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn are two apostates that came to discuss transgenderism, religion, and politics. My advice is that you avoid being as shallow as they are. They ranted about how they think they are being unfairly attacked by transgendered people. What basis do they say that it is wrong to be treated unfairly? Jaclyn Glenn is an atheist youtuber with no insights worthy of discussing. She rejected God because her friend was gay and her Catholic school wasn’t in favor of his … Continue reading Hunter Avallone & Jaclyn Glenn

It’s Been a Privilege

I have become aware that my Friends have kept a secret for about a month. They have secretly joined forces to do something nice. They came together to buy me a new laptop. They all hid it from me knowing that I would tell them not to do it. So, this is my apology for not properly thanking you guys and my attempt to give them a proper thank you. Dave Johnson(a.k.a. Dave from statefarm/Skunkman) I met Dave on the server I run after a BTWN show. He told me that he was a seminary graduate and he wanted to … Continue reading It’s Been a Privilege

Mythicism Parallelomania

The least educated of the mythicist try to claim that Jesus is just a myth based on previous cultures and different people. This thought has been popularized by hack documentaries like the Zeitgeist. I’ll provide a list of people debunking these silly charges: InspiringPhilosophy: Jesus vs. Horus Jesus vs. Mithra Jesus vs. Krishna Jesus vs. Dionysus Jesus vs. Serapis Jesus vs. Attis Jesus vs Osiris Jesus vs. Zoroaster Jesus vs. Buddha Dr. Mark Foreman: Refuting Zeitgeist the Movie Michael Boehm: Zeitgeist The Movie Refuted Point-by-Point James Patrick Holding (Tekton): Temporal Apologetics Mission 3: The Jesus-Horus Disconnection The Aron Ra “Jesus … Continue reading Mythicism Parallelomania
